A recap of Christmas 2014

I left you with promises of more to come but I – as I suspect everybody- got caught in Christmas preparations, which means I was diligently working on the “more” part just haven’t got any time to post it! I need to work on my time management this year…

Then January came…and went while I was sick. Winter in Greece is cheeky; the sun is out but it’s windy so in the shade you’re cold, in the sun you’re hot. Getting sick? -Absolutely inevitable.

But that’s all behind us now (for good I hope, at least for this year) and we can concentrate on lovelier things… like crafting!

So, the projects I didn’t get to show you last time include treats I made for my daughters’ classmates and teachers. There were chocolate-spoons (for stirring in milk), chocolate bars in snowman-disguise and Christmas inspired, spicy loose-tea mixes for cold nights to come.

My older daughter even composed a song for the chocolate milk spoons:

Rudolf, the red nose raindeer

has a very shiny nose,

and if you sing together

Rudolf’s antlers’ll jingle more.

Then at midnight Christmas Eve,

Santa came to say,

Rudolf, give those kids some treat

chocolate-spoon in milk to drink.

All of the kids love Rudi

and everyone is so happy,

Mister, go play a song

so everybody can sing along.

Kids and teachers equally enjoyed the treats.

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

My favorite time of the year…and I’m sure I’m not alone with this feeling.

I have so many ideas, goals for this holiday season that I feel I’m already behind. Gifts, cards, tags, decoration for the wreath, garland, the swag for the front door and of course the Christmas tree!

I started with a few cards from svgcuts-files that I cut with my Silhouette Cameo. These are not your standard A2 sized cards and there are many layers to them so I made individual envelop-boxes for them to fit in (with my new  envelop punch-board)!

We’re going camping…and bringing gifts with us!

There’s a magical place in Evia Island, Greece, where little kids, teenagers, “big kids” and even grown ups can have intense fun or a relaxing time! This place is called Club Agia Anna Summer Resort . It is our choice of camping place for more than 10 years now.

Every year in August we spend at least two weeks there, if time allows even more. Besides our love for the location and facilities and personal  we love LOVE the animation team, in particular Giorgo and Gianni. They’re the kings of entertainment, games and fun! So, I thought I/we should give something back, something that expresses their personality which is outdoorsy and fun! SVGCuts helped me out here too with the Camp Smore Kit

I made a teepee, (those red-white-green colors aren’t totally random either! They’re the colors of the Hungarian flag.)
